Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the Late Show with Johnathan Hernandez!
Races
Yesterday the CoN ended and stages 3 and 4 of Norway Tour were the main races. Norway hilly stage three that runs from Bodo-Mosjoen and was taken by Andreas Stoorgard from Alpine. He was closely followed by Kwasi Ngay from CC Est and by a Hungarian rider whose name I can surely not pronounce: Csokay Aurél. Fourth stage was the first climbing challenge rider will have in this difficult tour: Mosjoen-Trondheim. It was taken by Patricio Ernesto from Nikoline. He was followed by Hüsnü DIlmen from Manisaspor and by Zdislav Kyncl (OMG so many difficult names) from Czech Republic. CoN last race was in South Africa in Cape Town, and it was taken by Otto Skoglund form Norway and was followed by a rider that did really well in this year´s Clash of Nations and in Norway Tour and we just talked of him, I am talking of course, of Andreas Stoorgard from Denmark and the third place went to Bermudan rider Atwater Uuhlenkott. And it is precisely a Bermudan (well not really) manager tonight, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome from Hog Bay CT, the one, the only Llotyhy!!
Talk Segment
JHDZ: Welcome to the show and to start it off Lloythy, how are you?
LLOTYHY: Still breathing, so I guess I’m okay.
JHDZ: Goo old ironic answers haha. Tell us how did you join OCM?
LLOTYHY: My friends and I were looking for a new online game to play and stumbled upon this one. We’ve played a couple of games together and like the extra topic to talk about. Most of us originally met on Hattrick back when that was popular, so a whole era ago in internet time.
JHDZ: Why did you start writing of the WT?
LLOTYHY: WT is the main focus for me and my friends. We all started on Bermuda and our goal has always been to win the World Tour one day with Bermuda. Obviously, that’s going to be very very hard, but we’ll try nonetheless. I basically noticed that no one was keeping track of the scores anymore, so I figured I’d pick up the slack. Ten seasons later I’m still doing it.
JHDZ: Are you really Bermudan?
LLOTYHY: In my heart of hearts I am. No, all Bermudians you see in the game are from the Netherlands and so am I.
JHDZ: Yup, apparently, everyone that is from unknown nations is from Netherlands. Next news will be that finz is Dutch. Tell me Lloythy you recently left the Bermudan NT? Any regrets?
LLOTYHY: No, I’ve been doing it for 10 seasons and it was time to give someone else a chance to do it. I’ll stay active on the sidelines though. WT really is a great part of the game most people never pay attention to. That’s a real shame. I’m going to try to think about ways to increase interest in the feature. Maybe I’ll organize something next season.
JHDZ: It is indeed a shame the little attention WT gets. What do you like the most of it?
LLOTYHY: About the WT? Well, I can understand why it’s not that much fun for most people, because they don’t really have an influence. For me (us really) it’s different because we all know each other. We try to scout and train every single decent Bermudian and discuss amongst each other what the best course of action is. The teams are always secondary and the WT is the primary focus. I don’t necessarily ‘like’ the feature that much. It’s just the core of the game for me.
JHDZ: Who is your favorite OCM Rider?
LLOTYHY: I’ll answer this one in two parts. In general, my favorite rider is Farruco Alonso. He’s just such a great rider and his palmares is absolutely insane. On the OCM Awards forum I wrote “whenever I’m not voting for Farruco for Rider of the Season, consider me dead". That pretty much covers it I guess.
In Bermuda, my favorite rider is Emerson Prewitt. Observant readers might notice he is (or has been, if you read this at a later date) on my team, but he was merely here to fill the time until his retirement. His glory days were on Team Oasis, where he was a captain for many seasons. He never achieved much. In fact, he only won six races in total. However, he won three World Tour races, which is a third of the total wins scored by Bermuda in history. I’ve always believed he was the classiest of all the Bermudian riders and I’ll miss him when he retires.
JHDZ: And your favorite OCM Manager?
LLOYHTY: Team Stredet’s Sortland. I met the guy here and must have exchanged hundreds of private messages before we finally decided to just talk to each other on apps. It’s a shame that his life has become too busy to play the game.
JHDZ: What is your favorite movie and song?
LLOTYHY: My favorite movie is 12 Angry Men (1957). Twelve men on a jury panel have to decide the fate of a young man who is on trial for murder. It’s crazy good. Watch it!
Song is a little bit more difficult to choose one, but I think I’ll go with Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here.
JHDZ: Any plans for the future of Hog Bay CT?
LLOTYHY: Just keep up with the Bermudians and hope they’ll one day be good enough to win some things. Nothing special really.
JHDZ: Ladies and gentlemen a big fat applause for Llotyhy!! If you have any suggestions or want to be a guest please leave a comment or PM, I answer to all messages.
